After the years we have lived through and the exceptional circumstances due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Organising Committee of the XXVIII Meeting of Esophagogastric Surgery of the Spanish Association of Surgeons is pleased to invite you to this scientific meeting that will take place in Valencia from 29th to 31st March 2023.

To celebrate this physical meeting, the Scientific Committee has enthusiastically prepared a programme full of theoretical, technical and technological updates and novelties on topics of interest and controversies in oesophagogastric pathology. In this sense, we will count on the participation of renowned experts, both national and international, to deepen and discuss interesting points of the multidisciplinary management of the pathology that concerns us. The content of this programme is intended to reflect the quality, potential and growing development of oesophagogastric surgery in our country.

The main purpose of this meeting is to offer the possibility of updating knowledge, transmitting the experiences accumulated by expert groups and encouraging dialogue, discussion and the creation of future lines of work and collaborative projects in a pleasant atmosphere.

As a prelude to the meeting itself, a Pre-Congress Course will be held on 29th March at the Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe, with live broadcasting of complex minimally invasive surgical procedures performed by renowned surgeons from Northern Europe and Japan.

The XXVIII Meeting of Esophagogastric Surgery of the Spanish Association of Surgeons will be held on the 30th and 31st at the Ateneo Mercantil of Valencia, an emblematic building located in the centre of our city, a location that we are sure will invite you to visit the monumental, cultural and recreational environment of Valencia, enjoying its gastronomy and its people.
